The book you didn't know your heart needed.

Clean Beauty for the Mind, Three Ways to Cleanse Toxic Words from Others

*Available in Kindle or Paperback

Most people love the idea of toxic-free living. Let's face it -- 'clean ingredients' are what everyone clamours for lately.

With good reason.

And yet, when it comes to what we allow into our minds, we rarely stop to give that a second thought.

Think about the times where toxic words hit you in place they never should have. The way that's impacted more than you realized.
How do I know?

My guess is, something is already coming to mind for you right now.

If it is, then you know.

The truth is, when we're feeling just a bit vulnerable, that impact lands extra hard than it would have.

If it's been a day, a month, or just a long season where you're realizing you need something real that can help, then I have really good news:

You don't have to wonder what to do anymore.

You can break free.

And it's not as complicated as you thought.

You've got this.

I'd Love to Hear from You.

Once you've read it, you'll get it. And believe me... it's a good, good feeling.

“I believe in timing..."
"I was waiting for the moment where I felt compelled to pick up this book for a second time and go through it. The first time I read it, it was late at night and I was really struggling with the weight of my thoughts and anxiety. I remember going through it and relating to it, and I just burst into tears from feeling seen and loved by God; that He would put a book in front of me that could help shift my perspective and propel my heart and mind in a better direction.

This second time reading your book gave me a sense of peace, it filled me with encouragement and hope for such a bright future. All my hard work was producing fruit and it made me realize how far I have come mentally and spiritually. I am so thankful for you creating this book and sharing your vulnerability for those around you. I want to be an amazing wife and mother one day.
The tools and words written in this book impacted me and because it is from someone close to home, I feel even more influenced by it. You are an amazing writer, and I cannot wait for more to come.”

"Let go of your past, transform your thoughts, and embrace the life you were designed to live."
“The words in the book, ‘Clean Beauty for the Mind’, draw me in like I am sitting and having coffee with the author. They open my heart to know and understand her, providing insight on how her story can help me process and grow in mine. Karlene Markham encourages her readers to go deeper, past the search for surface beauty, into the hidden places where toxic words may have caused damage to our hearts and souls.
I have read a lot on this topic but have not read something that gives these clear steps and a way to help first filter and then process past, present, and future experiences with words.
Drawing on personal experience and wisdom, Karlene provides practical insight in how to evaluate and deal with words that are spoken over us. In sharing this insight, Karlene allows us a glimpse into her own heart and the way she has protected her ability to live with intentionality, provide life-giving words to those around her, and reflect the true beauty that radiates and shines out of every area of her life.
‘Clean Beauty for the Mind’ will equip you with practical steps to let go of the past,
transform your thoughts, and reach forward to embrace the life you were designed to live.”

Frequently asked questions

We've All Got Them!

Isn't the word, "toxic" a little extreme in this context?

The genre of "clean beauty" has become a huge buzz phrase in the past decade - and with good reason!
We're just starting to realize how smart it is to do our best to minimize the harmful toxins from our skin care, home cleaning products, and even air fresheners.
And that's a good thing.

But I realized there was another even more critical area that's been largely overlooked in this whole conversation: the crazy high amounts of negative toxins we often allow into our thoughts. Every. Single. Day.
... I knew it was time to do something about it!

Why are you so passionate about helping people?

Glad you've asked this one!

I want to help people because I clearly remember how deflated I felt when that soundtrack of negative words was "on repeat" in my mind.  Believing those negative words affected me in many ways...  diminishing my confidence and ability to say "yes" to new experiences - and that was just for starters.

And I just don't want that for you.

It's been said that "life and death is in the power of the tongue." The words we hear, think and speak have far more weight than we realize.

I believe there is incredible hope to move past destructive cycles of thinking, opening doors to see your confidence grow exponentially!

Do you really believe this can help?

Yes. Yes, I do. Because here's the thing: it helped me.

Friend, I'm honoured you've scrolled through this far. It signifies you're either curious, or actually looking for solutions.
Wherever you're at, I want you to know I'm in your corner.

I really do believe that with effort, encouragement and even a little prayer, anyone can move from a negative pattern of thinking to a more positive, fulfilling standard of thought. In fact, we've seen many people already sharing their stories of how this has begun to help them too!
To me, that makes it worth it all.

I am cheering you on!
